History Mollasadra Library
The Mulla Sadra Library is located at the Faculty of Science of the University of Shiraz, known as the philosopher of the eleventh century, the late Sadr al-Mutawalaeen (Mulla Sadra), and was previously known as the Library of Science and the Arts.
The library was established in the early 1340s as the central library of the University of Shiraz and started its activities as a university library.
The Mulla Sadra library is one of the richest academic libraries for the rich resources of books, theses and publications, and as the only pole of maintenance of basic science resources in the south of the country. From 1999 onward, he was a member of the Ghadir project, and to the entire university The members of the organization and the organization have been servicing this project. According to this plan, graduate and postgraduate students come to Iran from all over the country to borrow books and use library resources.
Meanwhile, in addition to providing extensive services to the university's academic staff at Shiraz University, this library is available to other universities and scientific centers such as Payame Noor University, Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Yasuj University, schools, various executive agencies in the province and Country .
Mulla Sadra Library is the first Library of Shiraz University, which is equipped with a computer system and is based on the comprehensive software of Pars Azarakhsh. The library computerization program was implemented within a year and a half with the efforts of all Mulla Sadra library staff, and all work related to bookkeeping, cataloging and journaling is carried out computer-aided. Due to the increasing volume of library resources, the need to build a new building to expand it was felt.
The reference salon is located on the third floor and the administrative and administrative part, the orders of the publications and the order of the article are located on the first floor. The building is equipped with a central heating and cooling system, fire extinguishing system, Data Gate security system and CCTV. Now the old building of Mulla Sadra Library is dedicated to the section of publications, partly as a study hall, and the reproduction room is in this section. Currently, the directorate of the library is Dr. Khani, and the staff of this library is 20 people working in different parts.
